I'm not sure that this discussion of carbon belongs in the category "inorganic chemistry"...but maybe my definition of "organic" is a bit pedantic. Any thoughts?--Joel 04:43, 22 May 2005 (UTC)
It's not organic chemistry, despite the carbon. When I studied a-C it was Physical Chemistry. SewerSide 12:39, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
Environmental Impact
[edit]It seems likely that carbon removal from the atmosphere can result in CO2 or in aC. If aC is produced, what kind of surface sequestration would be necessary? Say, if dumped into the ocean, would it dissolve or would it become bottom sediment? What kind of problem(s) can be anticipated with large amounts of aC accumulated from atmospheric scrubbing?
