Legal Issues and Other
[edit]Why dosent somebody add in here the Legal Issues Downloading and uploading has caused?
Uploading - Pornographys, Video Fights, Advertisements (Youtube mainly)
Downloading - Illegal Music (Thats big right now) Pornography, Movies, Other data files.
Also why not add things about P2P? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.156.12.29 (talk) 09:39, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
Also, some people say download when they really mean transfer. If you are transferring data between two points that you have control over (e.g. hard drive and flash drive), it is not a download. It'd be as stupid as saying I borrowed it from myself. Incripshin (talk) 05:27, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
Incripshin: I added a sentence briefly describing the difference between downloading and transferring in the "Download" section. Anyone, feel free to change my sentence or add onto it. 71.233.13.147 (talk) 00:45, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
If you feel there's a problem, than fix it! That's the beauty of this being a wiki, anyone can use it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.181.19.39 (talk) 21:38, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not insert links unless they actually give information about the article's contents. This does not mean links to pages like "Download free movies!".Jasper Deng (talk) 05:30, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
Meaning of "sideload"
[edit]It should be made clear that there are two meanings of sideload. In this article, sideload = transfer between local devices. In the sideloading article, sideload = download from remote and then transfer to another local device. --88.73.3.197 (talk) 15:05, 14 January 2012 (UTC)
Created from a unilateral split
[edit]This article was created from a unilateral split from the more informative Uploading and downloading, which had better-quality content than the separate Upload and Download articles. -Mardus /talk 10:24, 27 December 2015 (UTC)
