I have changed the references to Lara to read St. John. I feel that the use of her first name throughout the article was too "personal" and not "encyclopaedic" enough. Grstain 13:11, 11 Nov 2004 (UTC)
I just wanted to point out that this article is a cut-and-paste duplicate of the artist's own website bio. I don't believe that falls under what is considered proper encyclopedic form. That is likely why the previous user needed to change the name usage.
Probably should be included, but just a few sentences. For a comparable situation, see The 5 Browns (although that went well past mere allegations; there was a finding of criminal wrongdoing and Keith Brown got a good-sized prison term). TJRC (talk) 20:55, 19 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
On the other hand, the Placido Domingo case is all over WP and hasn't gotten as far as a criminal case either. Very few of the #metoo cases have resulted in prosecution, but that does not mean they do not represent legitimate biographical information. Deckoffa (talk) 15:06, 20 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see why other reliable sources cannot be used if they refer to the Philadelphia Inquirer piece. Do you believe that each newspaper must conduct its own investigation? You may be thinking of the requirement that a source must be independent of the subject (WP:IIS) and creating a new proposed rule that sources must be independent of each other. That's not what "independent" means. TJRC (talk) 00:27, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Where are you finding this "one newspaper cannot reference another" rule in WP:DUE? I'm not seeing it. With respect to the WP:DUE policy itself, when the matter is the subject of a front-page article in a major metropolitan newspaper, and is picked up by other major media outlets in multiple countries, it's not undue weight to mention it.
