On the map(picture) Zimbabwe in Africa is greyed out and represented as though there is no Labour Day or Workers Day which is not true at all. There has been International Workers' day holiday on 1st of May in Zimbabwe for as long as the holiday has existed. It is an official holiday included on their yearly callendar as well. Labor day in South Korea
[edit]In South Korea, May 1st is labor day. It should be red in the map. Regpath (talk) 01:17, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Regpath: https://publicholidays.co.kr/ says Labor Day or Workers’ Day (1 May) is not an official public holiday in South Korea. However, according to the Labor Day Act, employers can stipulate that 1 May be made an official holiday within the company’s rules of employment. For instance, banking institutions and most commercial business are closed that day. We can't mark South Korea in red, unfortunately. –Vipz (talk) 04:47, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Vipz What is the exact condition that the contry is colored as red? Your link is not official and a little incorrect. In South Korea, it is not the employer that decides whether it is a holiday or not. It is the law. Please see the official documents Designation of Worker's Day Act in Korean Designation of Worker's Day Act in English and Press release by the Ministy of Employment and Labor of the ROK

Labour Day in the UK
[edit]Labour Day is not celebrated in the UK, but they do have a public holiday on the first Monday in May. So they are the wrong color on the map. 82.8.133.177 (talk) 01:16, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
- This is indeed correct 74.57.171.43 (talk) 02:33, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
Labour day
[edit]the article should not mention the countries whose labor day is on may first because the articles for international workers day and may day cover it 70.168.135.229 (talk) 15:44, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, thank you for commenting here instead of simply reverting again. Content can exist in multiple article so I don't think removing it solely for that reason is the best idea. These holidays are also known as "labour day". If they weren't, then I'd agree with the removal. Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 00:52, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- the section heading says other dates so it should be limited to countries which celebrate labour day on other dates besides may 1 70.168.135.229 (talk) 15:24, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
