page move?
[edit]The content of this article looks like it should be under Mystic class, rather than under the general term for all DSRVs. - BanyanTree 20:15, 5 August 2005 (UTC)
- Everyone knows it as the DSRV, especially thanks to Tom Clancy. Joseph/N328KF (Talk) 03:15:41, 2005-08-06 (UTC)
- Well the main page currently states "The Priz class AS-28 Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle of the Russian Navy is disabled in a submarine accident near Kamchatka and sinks to the seafloor," and anyone clicking on the DSRV link is looking for a general term, not a U.S. class. Note that DSRV is talked about as a general term at Deep Submergence Vehicle as well. Unless someone can think of a more logical place to put the general term, I'm going to move this over to Mystic class, paste some material in from DSV and add a dab on top to Mystic. The way the articles are structured right now is very strange and I'm not convinced it should stay confusing because some fiction writing has confused the issue. - BanyanTree 12:36, 6 August 2005 (UTC)

- Are we sure this is the right name? How about Mystic class submersible? —Joseph/N328KF (Talk) 07:38, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

DSRV Status
[edit]main page, external link to navy web site- nothing found 15 Jan 2007. Wiki Links are related pages in respect to DSRV, make no mention of planned Decommissioning of these vessels. There are plans, I have not found a US Navy web site yet to mention this. This information was included with realted news from the Krusk (Russian Oscar class SSGN) tragedy several years ago. On http://www.chinfo.navy.mil/navpalib/cno/n87/usw/issue_12/rescue_exercise.html referes the the Mystic as "SEDGEMOOR began as realistically as any real-world rescue mission. Mystic, the Navy's only DSRV, was delivered from San Diego to the Royal Air Force base at Prestwick on a U.S. Air Force C-5 Galaxy and then trucked to Kyle of Lochalsh, Scotland.". Unfortunately this page does not list a date. Go up a page in site implies this is frma a magizine dated in Summer of 2001.

Mystic Class Replacement - no wiki
[edit]There is no wiki yet on the SRDRS, the new US Navy Submarine Rescue System replacing the DSRVs. I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to bring this up, but I think it is a wiki worth adding.--Bg10117 (talk) 17:44, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
