Speedy deletion

[edit]

I noticed that you tagged the page Strawberry park for speedy deletion with the reason "advertising, hopeless non-article/advertisment". However, "advertising, hopeless non-article/advertisment" is not currently one of our criteria for speedy deletion, so I have removed the speedy deletion tag. You can use Wikipedia:Articles for deletion if you still want the article to be deleted. Thanks! Stifle (talk) 18:19, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Skein Association

I'm pretty sure we're done. I turned the background color red, but you didn't present a new one. So please do! I'm interested to see what the next challenge will be like. --Perimosocordiae 16:57, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the stub change! I was trying to find the right one, but the only one I found was a "computing" stub -- and it's not a computer!Tyler Mitchell 23:59, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Elite Sneaky Fucking Russian, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, article #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 22:47, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry -- probably the disambig came after the original article was deleted, which was why you appeared to be the original author. NawlinWiki 23:47, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Word association - rogue miscounting and misaligning. Just incoherence.

[edit]

Really. People have been misplacing word counts. I think it's kind of a hassle that people are misaligning word counts. --Addict 2006 04:30, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WA has gotten out of hand. Would you support a mediation request, as per the discussion at the talk page? --Perimosocordiae 18:00, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Ccleaner, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Your recent edits

[edit]

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 21:46, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

using speedy deletion tags

[edit]

When using speedy deletion tags, please be careful to always cite a reason for deletion. An article you tagged, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, did not have a reason given, although I've deleted the article anyway for being without content. Natalie 00:27, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Stubs

[edit]

Thanks for the note. My theory is that the Project has reached a period of very rapid growth in terms of people who know even less about stub sorting than I do (which is not much). In truth, I doubt that this backlog will shrink any more than the other backlogs. I have no hope of getting all the way through it. But I'll do the best I can. If you notice where I could have picked a better stub- the more complex one's sometimes throw me- please let me know. Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 17:03, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

stubbing

[edit]

Thanks for the note. That's cool. I feel better about that now. Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 01:15, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's a Bio-stub. Can you change it? Nice Atlas by the way! --Ludvikus 16:56, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

done, and thanks!

Alaibot and stub backlog

[edit]

Actually, I think it's the first time I've heard that one, at least directly in relation to my bot. I don't see how stubsense would help: these articles are not categorised in any way, which is precisely why they're being tagged. The "uncategorised" cleanup is far more backlogged, so tagging them for category cleanup would be worse in just about every respect. Not tagging them at all would simply leave them undealt with, which would defeats the whole purpose of the stub exercise. If there's too many, we either need more volunteers, or fewer articles. So personally, I'm pretty skeptical. You should feel free to bring it up at the project talk page to see if others feel similarly, though. BTW, could you fix your currently-linkless signature? See WP:SIG for hints'n'tips. Alai 00:26, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Rocklouder, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Non-free rationale for File:Bool.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Bool.JPG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Also:

ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 03:00, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
