how does the concept of base bleed as provided by a small rocket in the linked base bleed article compare to base bleed as mentioned in this article about jet engines? -- WhiteDragon 13:50, 23 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Whitedragon, the concept of Base Bleed is referring to the fact that allowing some of the bypass gases to enter into the root of the "V" will drastically decrease it's drag at high flow rates. This will also allow for better atomization of the fuel, allowing a more consistent AFR in the combustor. -- Anonymous 0358, 09 Apr 2009 (UTC)
holder/can/combustor
[edit]Although I realize this is only one part of the combustor, perhaps it should be rolled into that article? Maury 16:55, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
Agreed this should defiantly redirect to combuster — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wiki edits 198 (talk • contribs) 11:13, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
