Serious deficiencies
[edit]This biography appears to have been plagiarized from that of Heinrich Ewald Hering (http://www.whonamedit.com/doctor.cfm/2655.html). Heinrich Ewald Hering was the son of the intended subject, Karl Ewald Konstantin Hering (who has a good biography at http://www.whonamedit.com/doctor.cfm/2647.html).
Someone should fix this to save me the trouble! Robert P. O'Shea 12:22, 2005 Apr 20 (UTC)

Land connection
[edit]Moreover, the connections between Hering and Land are incorrect in many ways. The theory was resurrected by Hurvich and Jameson. Land did not adopt an opponent colors approach, but rather worked in receptor space.

Relation to Jean Hering?
[edit]It would be helpful for this page to indicate if there is any blood relation between Ewald Hering and phenomenologist Jean Hering. This would help in mapping the landscape of psychology at the turn of the 20th century in Germany. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.255.76.82 (talk) 19:45, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
