I'm currently a web computer programmer (Java oriented), living in Italy (my effective name is Claudio Pacchiega), born in 1962.

When I was 10 years old and in the core of my childhood I was a very strange boy, without the common habits of other children. I had a lot of big and strange dreams!

• One was the possibility of overcoming the cultural differences among people, avoiding war thru travelling and mutual assistance among people on the Earth Yes, probably at that age I couldn't express in this way, however now it makes sense. So when I could I joined some hospitality associations like Servas Open Doors and Hospitality Club. I'm doing a LOT of volunteer work for both these associations, building the php site for HC, and I cooperate actively with Servas either in Italy (I'm currently National Secretary), and at an International Level (I cooperate in building up a web based system for finding and exchanging addresses and so plan travels worldwide).

• Also I fantasized about a Universal Encyclopaedia, where all the people could put everything together and collect everything in the human knowledge. Now I know that this is an impossible thing to do.

But Internet is very close to this end. The only thing: it lacks a coordination on the nature and kind of information, so you can be very soon overwhelmed by too much information. Wikipedia, I've found just two weeks ago (thanks to AbiWord), and it is what is so close to be exactly what I dreamed of in my childhood.
