Vandalism

[edit]

In Russian Cyrillic, "HYPT MAEK" would be "НУРТ МАЕК" ("nurt maek"); in Kyrgyz Cyrillic, "НҮРТ МАЕК" ("nürt maek"). Google Translate gives the Kyrgyz meaning of the former as "Light Conversation", but has no translation for "НҮРТ". Would the article be improved by using both the Cyrillic writings, rather than Latin script? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kanenas (talkcontribs) 14:48, 23 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The article correctly reports what the source says. Changing it for speculative reasons would be WP:OR. Beyond My Ken (talk) 21:59, 23 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If you look at the photo in the source, it's fairly apparent that the "MA" is in fact "ИΛ", and so the graffiti is "NURT ILEK", the man's name. 51.187.59.229 (talk) 18:53, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, without a source to back it up, that's pure WP:OR. Beyond My Ken (talk) 23:33, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
