Basalt, not granite

[edit]

I forget where I read it, I think at the Minaret Summit display where you can overlook the entire valley, that the Minarets are actually basalt and not granite, left over from long ago when the area was actually covered with lava and an ancient sea. I'll go back there sometime soon when the summit is driveable again, get the info and correct at that time. Kidshare (talk) 05:37, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Minarets Caldera

[edit]

"Minarets Caldera" is on the map at the article for Walker Lane, but is not mentioned here. Searching the web, I found this article abstract confirming it as real. Should info on it be included in this article? ZFT (talk) 20:27, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There is also this article. ZFT (talk) 20:32, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
