[edit]- Describing Tony Levin as simply a "session musician" seemed a little tame. Part of the commercial interest in the LTE project (as well as Black Light Syndrome) was the fact that the other members got Tony Levin, of all bassists, to agree to participate. Sure, Levin does a lot of different projects, but his cultural significance stems most readily from his work with King Crimson. Pillsbur 21:04, Dec 18, 2003 (UTC)
Writing period
[edit]Both albums were written in a very short period of time... It took five days for LTE and something like ten days for LTE2, if I recall correctly. I've read this in the CD booklets (but lost both cases afterward...). Can someone confirm this ? --Zoury 14:59, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
- You're right. Acid Rain alone was written in two hours, others written and recorded in the same day. According to the CD booklet, the tracks were recorded as early as October 11, 1998, and November 29, 1998. It looks like most were written and recorded really close together... There was post regarding a new LTE album by Portnoy himself http://www.mikeportnoy.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=1503093&mpage=2&key=, and he seems to have regained interest in a third LTE album.

Wrong Kansas link
[edit]When it says portnoys second pick for guitarists, it mentions someone who was in Kansas the link on the word leads to a post about the state. I'm certain theyre talking about the band Kansas. Someone fix this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.3.49.199 (talk) 05:25, 10 July 2012 (UTC)
