Added notice-needs translation into English/cleanup. -CunningLinguist 02:05, 24 Feb 2005 (UTC)

I ran accros this page by chance. I have no idea of who is Jacques Chausson, but since I am approaching dual fluency English/French, I think I will try to translate the "Legal Proceedings". It is syntaxically an aberration even in Old French, but it seems it was written long before the written language had official syntax and grammar. Translating all the syntax and grammar aberrations will surely be a lot of fun :-P Fafner 08:40, 8 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I took a crack at it, but it still needs some work. I suspect the unwieldy syntax of the legal proceedings is just due to the fact that they're legal proceedings; I wasn't able to make them a lot clearer, so much of the work left to be done could be carried about by someone with no knowledge of the French language. However, I was unsure about some particular words like cu and poteau and I may have mixed up grammar. Also, I have no sense of poetry whatsoever, so perhaps the poems could be translated more eloquently. But I think this is a good start. -- Epistaxis 08:52, Mar 10, 2005 (UTC)

In short, this needs attention from someone expert in older French. -- Jmabel | Talk 19:46, Mar 10, 2005 (UTC)
