Craters of the Moon
[edit]Even the Wikipedia article on CotM refer to their source as being Basin and Range faulting and not the Yellowstone Hot-spot. Also the Buttes referenced are not a feature of the Yellowstone Hot-spot. Rework in order... I will do later (when I have time) Ralph 1 March06
Wrong caldera in satellite photo
[edit]The caldera in the photo is the Henry's Fork caldera. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.248.169.116 (talk) 20:41, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
Indeed that IS the Yellowstone Caldera. Check the wiki on it.
Geothermal capacity Section-Magical Caldera?
[edit]The Yellowstone Caldera has never moved. Just thought I'd point this one out for ya. Refer to the Wiki on it if you need source...
Climate section additions
[edit]I have gathered 5 academic sources that can serve as broad outline of climatic changes on the plain from the early-Pliocene to the Holocene (with lots of gaps in between of course). I understand that the current "effects on climate" section mainly pertains to Yellowstone. The sources I have collected pertain to the western SRP in particular (Idaho Falls–Bruneau area) and disproportionately provide climate speculations for the Pliocene period (4Mya-2.3Mya, approximately) but also offer information on vegetation and moisture regimes for the last 30 thousand years. I am currently drafting in my sandbox a cohesive narrative and hope to start adding to this article in the next week! It may call for a new section or series of sub-sections...Whichever is easier on the eyes and the brain. Cshields94 (talk) 06:03, 16 May 2017 (UTC)
Not enough citations
[edit]This is a great topic, but the lack of reputable citations is a serious problem. I'm certain this will be corrected in the near future ^_^ Paleo_Broad 02:31, 12 June 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chantel Saban (talk • contribs)
