- Abstain. Are there any experts here on the subject of Olde English who might care to comment? [[User:Radman1|RaD Man (talk)]] 00:44, 19 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- DELETE: Keg can't be an Old English word, according to the OED it entered in the English language during the middle English period from the Norse. As did Ice. This is probably some stupid frat boy who was lonely on a Saturday night thinking what he could do to memorialize cold beer. --ExplorerCDT 03:31, 19 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- I know Anglo-Saxon, but not Olde English, as that's a cheap beer. When I said it was false, I meant that it's not an Anglo-Saxon word at all. Geogre 03:39, 19 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- delete. Ice was used in Old English, although spelt with an s. Kennings (the joining of two words to form a new one) would look like this: "isceald" which translates as "ice-cold", rather than what this article suggests i.e. beginning "ice...". Keg came into the language much later, in fact the letter k was barely used in Old English. Though this is largely irrelevent as the article is an obvious joke. Rje 03:46, 19 Nov 2004 (UTC)
