why are there no references to George W. Bush or Rush Limbaugh here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.205.185.5 (talk • contribs)
- They're giving you the honor instead, it's just taking too long to write. ^_^ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.49.220.19 (talk • contribs)
Clean up
[edit]I've removed a couple of entries and rearranged the page seeing as it has now been designated a disambiguation page. Specifically, I removed a couple of entries relating to foreign language terms spelled the same way. I also removed the line referring to its use as a perjorative because there is no article to link to and Wikipedia is not a dictionary. SilentC 00:07, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- The obvious link is to insult and I've added it. 86.145.56.217 (talk) 10:10, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
Moron (Insult) should be added if theres enough material to cover the subject of its use and origin. JasonHockeyGuy (talk) 04:12, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- It's covered under Moron (psychology). I don't think there's lot more that can be said about it, although plenty of people seem to think they need to add their acquaintances' names to it. Actually if you look at the article's history, you'll get plenty of examples of what a moron is :) SilentC (talk) 05:44, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- Well it should not be under that rubric. The technical term 'moron', as once used by psychologists, was not an insult. I have moved the insult definition to a bullet point of its own. I remain dissatisfied with 'Moron (psychology), disused term for a person with a mental age between 8 and 12' definition. An eight year old with such a mental age would not (one hopes) have been called a moron by psychologists. 86.145.56.217 (talk) 10:05, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
