- Neutral to Don't Move Some of O'Brian's titles require disambiguation and it seems reasonable to have a certain consistency in the page titles with the added (novel) after all of them. Given that I am not completely set on that. Dabbler 23:04, 6 May 2005 (UTC)
Links
[edit]The manual of style Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Linking says to put links at their fist occurrence. Is there any reason why this shouldn't be follwed here? Ingafube (talk) 14:11, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
Consistency in articles on the novels in this series
[edit]Ingafube I do not want to have an edit war over wiki links. Please read the talk page beginning here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Master_and_Commander#Working_on_the_21_articles.2C_raise_the_quality, where editors of the articles about the novels in this series came to some agreement on what constitutes a well-written article. Only the first novel has received the full treatment. One of the points was putting character links to articles on real historical characters or fictional characters on whom an article had been written in the character list. We all appreciate your interest in these novels, and hope you will come along with edits that will improve the articles, rather than adding further changes reflecting the notions of just one editor. I would like to put the wiki links as they were, on the promise that this will not be an edit war. So please do read that discussion. --Prairieplant (talk) 11:01, 21 August 2017 (UTC)
