[edit]Per the German Embassy to the US [1] I have removed the erroneous listing of White Stork as the national bird of Germany. Thanks for bringing this up, and cheers! -- Miwa * talk * contribs ^_^ 22:50, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
Swastika in Amiens
[edit]I'm not the one who add the fact that there is Swastika in Amiens's Cathedral but you can't erase it and threat him to be ignorant. Better think twice befor be rude : http://www.swastika-info.com/nl/startpage/clarification/1110567632.html Maldebaran 10:59, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, there are swastikas in the cathedral. But this is not what Amiens is famous for. It is only astonishing for people who don't know much about the symbol. I think it is ignorant to reduce a great cathedral to famous for its swastikas. Somebody with good knowledge of the cathedral and the symbol wouldn't emphasize on this single fact. It is more of an erratic trivia. Though noting it in the text without emphasis, as it is now, is okay. --::Slomox:: >< 14:52, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- Ok I now able to see better you're point of view, I quite admiting that Amiens'Cathedral is a Masterpiece and can't be reduce to the presence of swastika, but it is also a mentionable point so it shoul better to chane the text in ordrer to netralize it. A reduced mention of swastika presence is better. I decided to translate En. Wiki articles about french cathedral in french (articles in french are reduced), and your comment flash me but with more explainations it fit me. Maldebaran 21:07, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
