Word usage

Can someone go through this and sort out the contractions. Wikipedia policy is not to use contractions unless quoting someone directly. I appreciate this is taken with permission from a now defunct web site, but it can be updated without altering the content. If I get the time in the next few days I'll come back and do it. --Colin Angus Mackay 12:13, 14 Jul 2004 (UTC)
