[edit]We may want to convert this to the "district" rather than the territorial authority. Most other councils seem to have their cities or districts as the name of the page. I won't mind if someone gets in and does it - but change the link to it accordingly. :robinp 08:19, 18 Mar 2004 (UTC)
- I've changed the page content to make the TA a component rather than the subject of the page. I haven't tidied all the links yet (I just left the existing ones as they were). I think this TA is a little different to most others because it is not centred on one or even two towns or districts as its identity. Anyway I hope the changes help address the concern. --Januarian (talk) 10:06, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
Regional status
[edit]Some bias should be removed here. Featherston and most of the Wairarapa have always lain in Wellington, either as a province or the modern region. The article is very POV on this subject. Enzedbrit 11:25, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- Revisions since your comment seem to have addressed this. However, I have crafted some words that show the close links between the district and Wellington. I think the wording now is more reflective of the current reality/practice. Implying that Featherston is primarily part of Wellington and only weakly related to Wairarapa is a difficult position to sustain. There are numerous combinations of living, working, and using services that don't support that argument. Just one example is the Wairarapa District Health Board. --Januarian (talk) 10:06, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
