When I was at Cornell (1990-1994), the date of Dragon Day was undetermined each year, and not announced in advance, merely spread by word of mouth that day. If it is currently held the Thursday before St. Patrick's Day, that's a recent development.

Would like to edit text to reflect this; also have some Drago Day pictures to contribute (at home. At work now.) --Hiraeth 21:23, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, your time and mine at Cornell overlapped (I was there 1992-1997) and I remember it always being the Thursday before St. Patrick's Day. Angr (tc) 19:58, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This years Dragon Day was ruined. There was no burning of the dragon. I was told by one person in passing that this was because of new New York state law. This is an outrageous way to end a great tradition. I would like this wikipedia article to have a solid well cited write up of this.- Hovden 01:44, March 13 2009 (UTC)
