Personal Announcement:
Welcome All! I just recently discovered this project and LOVE the idea of a fluid information sharing source website that is free to the internet and world public! I hope for great things for this Free Encylopedia. I will offer what I can and defer to the more learned. I am NOT a good speller and a rather lazy writter, I tend to repeat myself often. Therefore, I welcome ALL spelling and editing corrections and have a thick skin.
In terms of source material, I will only add items once I have verified the source. I feel source attibution and verification is the wisest way to police what is written. I have some expierence as a newspaper reporter in an acidemic environment and as a formal reporter trained by the United States Army.
About Drachenfire:
I was born in the east Tennessee city of Knoxville- though my people live and are closer to the Sevier County line. The Great Smoky Mountains has had much history; from the native American Cheerokee tribesmen to the Scot-Irish settlers of the colonial years and our African American and hispanic neighbors of today. My family arrived from the south Wales mountains via Pennsylvania just after the American civil war. The LLewellyn's were a hardy folk who made homes along the Tennesse river. With the 1930's Tennessee Vally Authority Dam projects many Welsh communities were submerged with families dispersing into the mountains or into Knoxville proper.
My immediate family was a military family and traveled the United States and the Pacific Rim countries. I remember vividly the colorful and vivrant Phillipeans of Subic Bay and Manilia. Though Knoxville and the mountains will always be my 'home; I have come to love the sea. Eventually my immediate family settled in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I have been a son of the ocean ever since- though the mountains will always be my 'home'.
Interests and Influences:
History. Hard Fact history and cultural history- though Welsh history has always intriged me from an ancestrial perspective.

Languages: Welsh- am currently learning
Culture:
80's pop music primarily influenced me. The synth sounds of British pop in particular. Depeche Mode is my favorite band- with Madonna a personal Diva. I have a great appreciation for Heavy Metel (Metallica) and the 90's grung of Nervana.
In terms of theater Sophocles' Antigonie influences me greatly. As does Shakesphear and the socail plays of Ibsen.
Science Fiction movies and fiction have greatly stired my mind. Dune, Star Wars, Aliens, are central on how I view the universe and humans invlvement in it.
Politics:
Social liberal, fiscal conservitive. I identify as a Liberal Democrate. Social responsibilities such as universal healthcare and education, urban developement and planning, secular government and gay rights (I am for them :P ) are all central to my poilitical outlook. I dislike extream religeous fanatisim and political facism. I have a strong respect for the professional military and suport them 100%.
